Screen capture
Camo Studio offers a wide range of video sources you can connect to, including mobile devices, dedicated cameras and gaming consoles. In addition to these is "Apps on this iPad," which enables you to stream or record your screen as you interact with other apps on the platform. Using the iPad as your primary source, you can do anything from gaming to conducting app-based tutorials, while recording or streaming the footage with Camo.
Using Screen Capture
Once you’ve selected or created a scene for your video, and chosen “Apps on this iPad” as your primary source, there are three short steps to starting your recording or stream:

Tap on the ‘Activate screen capture’ button in either the main canvas or the source panel on the left.

When the Screen Broadcast window appears on your screen, tap on ‘Start Broadcast’ to initiate the countdown. Note that this does NOT begin your Camo recording or stream.

Tap on the area outside the centre window to return to Camo Studio. You can then begin your video using using the Recording and Streaming tools at the top of the interface.
A short guide to using Screen Capture - featuring most of the details here - will appear when you first select "Apps on this iPad" as your video source, or when you select the Presentation scene from the gallery.
The Screen Capture Widget
Once you begin your stream or recording with screen capture, a small widget will appear on your iPad’s screen when you leave Camo Studio. This shows you that your stream or recording is active. The widget will appear in your screen recording, but you can resize it with a pinch and position it where it won’t distract from your content. You can also drag it to the left or right edge to minimise it temporarily, though it will pause any secondary source video that’s being captured with your iPad’s built-in camera or any USB-connected device. This is not an issue if you’re using Camo Camera as the video source for your PiP.
Once you've finished, you can end your screen recording by returning to Camo Studio (either by tapping the widget or selecting Camo in the dock) and pressing 'Stop’ under the active tool at the top of the interface. If you've recorded your session, the video will be saved to your designated location.
Audio
The audio tab in the left sidebar gives you the tools to mix the audio from your microphone and the apps you open during your session. Not all apps allow audio capture, but if your audio source is set to the iPad microphone in Camo, viewers will be able to hear your voice, as well as any sounds from the other apps you use during your recording or stream session. Just note that you may need to lower the volume on your iPad to achieve the best audio balance.
