Dispatch from the King's Award Royal Reception
When I look back to the start of Reincubate in 2008, I can hardly believe how much has been accomplished over the years. From releasing the world’s first forensic data recovery tool for Apple devices, to running one of the largest social content generation sites in the UK, pioneering techniques in location data analysis and performing a deep dive of the Government’s official Covid-19 app it seems like every time we think we have reached a peak, we find a new way to innovate. Most recently we’ve been democratising video with Camo, making professional video available to every user through the power of AI.
So it is no surprise that our success has been repeatedly recognised - most recently through our winning of the King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade this year. For those of you not familiar with the King’s Award it is the highest business honour it is possible to win in the UK, awarded personally by HM Charles II on the advice of the Prime Minister. The 2026 award comes on top of our other three Queen’s Awards and King’s Awards, meaning we have won the accolade an unprecedented four times.
As such, I was honoured to represent the company last week at a formal reception at St James’ Palace with members of the Royal Family, Lord-Lieutenants representing regions of the UK, representatives from HM Government, and other winners of the 2026 Awards. Despite the scorching weather, guests mingled under the canopy of the gardens, originally laid out for Henry VIII in the 1530s.
As we relaxed and chatted, it struck me that this visible recognition of our success is not an isolated one-off event, but the culmination of all those years of innovation, hard work, and attention to our craft. Each new product or idea has brought us to where we are today, and where we plan to go with our mission for Camo.
And it goes without saying we couldn’t have done any of this without our team. Not just those working for us now, but everyone who has contributed to Reincubate over the years, many of whom remain friends. Thank you, each and every one of you. This success is yours too.
